Empowered to Witness

On Day 5 of our prayer and fasting, we focus on activating boldness to share the gospel. In Acts 1:8, Jesus promises the Holy Spirit’s power to enable us to be His witnesses. Sharing the gospel isn’t about our own abilities; it’s about relying on the Spirit’s power to declare God’s love and salvation to a world in need.

The Holy Spirit equips us with courage, wisdom, and the right words to proclaim the message of Christ. Whether we’re sharing with a neighbor, colleague, or stranger, we can do so with confidence, knowing that God is working through us.

As followers of Christ, we’re called to shine His light in our local communities (“Jerusalem”), extend it regionally (“Judea and Samaria”), and reach globally (“to the ends of the earth”).

The Call to Boldness

Sharing the gospel often requires stepping out of our comfort zones. Fear and doubt can creep in, but 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline. Boldness comes from recognizing that we are ambassadors for Christ, entrusted with the life-changing message of salvation (Ephesians 6:19-20).

As a church, we lift up missionaries and leaders, asking God to raise up godly men and women of influence in Switzerland and beyond. Together, we can fulfill the mission of reaching every nation for Christ.

Let these prayer points guide your time with God today:

1. Thank God for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 1:7).

2. Pray for boldness to proclaim the message of salvation without fear (Ephesians 6:19-20).

3. Ask for divine appointments to witness to those seeking Christ (Colossians 4:3-4).

4. Prayer for all missionaries of the Church.

5. Prayer that God will raise godly men and women of influence in the various churches in Switzerland

6. That God will bless the Church numerically –reaching every nation

Challenge for Today

Ask God to show you one person who needs to hear the gospel today. Take a step of faith and share your testimony, invite them to church, or simply pray for them. Trust the Holy Spirit to give you the words and courage you need.
