Focus Scriptures
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." – Psalm 100:4
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
A Heart of Thanksgiving
Welcome to Day 1 of our 14 days of prayer and fasting! Gratitude is where our journey begins. Psalm 100:4 teaches us that thanksgiving is the key to entering God’s presence. When we stop to thank God, we align our hearts with His goodness and remember that He is faithful in every season.
Take a moment to reflect: What are you grateful for today? Maybe it’s the breath of life, the opportunity to witness a new year, or even the trials that have stretched your faith. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we lack to the abundance of God’s grace.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we are called to give thanks in all circumstances. This doesn’t mean we thank God for difficulties but rather that we recognize His sovereignty in them. Gratitude is an act of faith that declares, "God, You are good, and Your plans for me are perfect."
Dedication for 2025
As we stand on the threshold of a new year, it is fitting to dedicate 2025 to the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and acknowledge Him in all our ways. When we surrender our plans, dreams, and desires to Him, He promises to make our paths straight.
Dedicate this year to God, asking Him to guide your steps, bless your endeavors, and strengthen your resolve to live a life worthy of your calling (Ephesians 4:1). Remember, the calling is not just about grand gestures; it’s about daily obedience, faithfulness, and walking in love.
