Day 42
Prayer of the Day: Lord, thank You that true strength and victory come from you. Help me to trust in your power rather than my own, knowing that you go before me and secure my steps. May my confidence be rooted in your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Amen.
Scriptures for Your Day:
Psalm 21:1–13: “The king rejoices in your strength, Lord. How great is his joy in the victories you give!” (v.1).
Matthew 27:11–44: “Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge—to the great amazement of the governor” (v.14).
Exodus 11:1–12:51: “When I see the blood, I will pass over you” (Exodus 12:13).
Confidence in God’s Strength
David rejoices in the strength of the Lord, recognizing that true victory comes from God. He knew that his successes were not the result of his own power but of God’s faithfulness. When we trust in God’s strength, we can walk with boldness, knowing He is our protector and provider.
Jesus displayed ultimate confidence in God’s plan, remaining silent before His accusers and entrusting Himself to the Father’s will (Matthew 27:14). Even in suffering, He stood firm, showing us that strength is found in surrender to God.
The Israelites also witnessed God’s power in action. As they prepared for the first Passover, they had to trust that His promise of deliverance would hold true (Exodus 12:13). Their protection came not from their own efforts but from God’s provision.
💡 Takeaway:
Rejoice in God’s Strength: Let Him be your source of confidence.
Follow Jesus’ Example: Strength is found in surrender to God’s will.
Trust in His Deliverance: He is faithful to rescue and redeem.
Question for Reflection: What areas of your life do you need to surrender more fully to God’s power?
